SimulScan™

DeJarnette Research Systems introduced SimulScan capability in the company's first medical imaging network gateway product, Imageshare 910, in 1992. SimulScan improves network gateway throughput by allowing for the simultaneous acquisition of images, image format conversion and transmission. The Imageshare 910/FD, film digitizer gateway, when released in 1994, was considered to be a revolutionary product. It was the first IBM PC based digitizer acquisition station which could simultaneously acquire images from the digitizer and transmit those images into a DICOM network.
