The PACSware^® Migration Gateway Toolkit is a full-featured set of executables for starting, monitoring, controlling, and verifying PACS data migration.  The Migration Toolkit runs under Windows 2000 or Windows XP.

The Migration Toolkit provides basic migration functionality such as:

• generates a complete migration list using SQL or a series of connected DICOM queries

• migration proceeds by MRN, study date, media ID (if SQL supported), or migration priority

• migration can be scheduled and its performance tuned by time of day and day of week to meet clinical demands

• migration uses DICOM C-Move protocol and therefore supports the vast majority of legacy archives

• error handling includes automatic retries with configurable delays and the capability to postpone failed studies for manual intervention

• GUI tracks migration status of each study in the migration list

• migration list can be shared by multiple threads to increase performance

The Migration Toolkit also provides advanced features such as:

• allows for ad-hoc manual migration of emergency studies

• verification tool that compares legacy and target archives using SQL or a series of connected DICOM queries

• automatic updating of migration list based on comparison of archives

• reporting tools to document migration progress

• queries for DICOM modality worklist to schedule prior studies for priority migration

• applies configurable pre-fetch rules

• sorts prior studies by scheduled procedure date and time
