With today's modern PACS, there is still a need for routing.
The
PACSware® DICOM Router provides basic Source Metadata Routing
(SMR™ / "store and forward routing"). PACSware® Intelligent Router
provides this most basic routing capability along with the most
advanced set of routing functions in a single software package. Intelligent
Router provides an SMR™ algorithm plus the ability to route based on a third party modality
worklist (Modality Worklist Routing - MWR™); plus the ability to route
based on query of a DICOM image store (Query/Move Routing - QMR™). The PACSware® Intelligent Router is extremely configurable
and can be used in custom routing projects.
Applications:
- DICOM routing from a web-based PACS (ie., Fuji Synapse)
- inter-enterprise routing
- nighthawk service routing
- specialty third party workstation pre-fetch (ie., pre-fetch for use
by a third party mammography workstation)
- DICOM metadata mapping (inter-vendor DICOM translation) while
routing
Features:
-
routing
based on DICOM metadata in the image/study to be routed (including but
not limited to, modality, body part, priority, requesting physician and
referring physician)
-
routing
based on time of day and/or study time
-
pre-fetch routing based on a DICOM modality worklist
-
time-based DICOM queries to
identify studies to be routed
-
routes studies to multiple destinations
based on configurable routing rules
-
splits mammography studies into
series based on laterality and view (for improved viewing station
hanging protocols)
-
able to route studies to any DICOM
storage provider
-
optionally supports DICOM
conformant lossless compression
-
optionally supports DICOM
conformant lossy JPEG/DCT compression
-
optionally supports
Pegasus
wavelet compression
-
(optional) compression
configurable on a route by route basis and depends on modality and body
part
